With our Family Loan account holders are expected to save a minimum of £1 per week which is fixed against your loan balance and can only be accessed once you’ve fully repaid your loan or your loan balance is lower than your savings, allowing you to take out the difference. You are welcome to save for holidays, Christmas or any of life’s little luxuries additionally at the same time as repaying your loan but that is optional.
What do I need?
- Be aged 18 years old or over
- Be receiving Child Benefit and agree to have this paid into your account with Pennine Community Credit Union
- Live or work in the boroughs of Burnley, Pendle, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, Hyndburn or the County of Cumbria OR;
- For employees and those in receipt of housing services (i.e. tenants) from The Together Group, Calico Group, Accent Group or Your Housing Group
- Complete a simple loan application here
- There is no need to be an existing saver
- Repayments tailored to suit you. Simply choose how much you want to put in your savings account each week
- Provide proof that Child Benefit is paid to you
If you do apply for a loan we’ll turn the application around as quickly as we can. We aim to reach a decision within 24 -48 working hours, providing all the information we need has been provided. If your application is successful, we can make a same day BACS payment.
