Saturday 19th November saw the spectacular Christmas lights switch on show in Burnley town centre. Saturday 26th November will see Colne town centre light up with a day of activities starting at 10:00 with a torchlight parade from The Crown pub at 17:30 and fireworks at 19:00. Whilst on the same day Nelson holds a double celebration for Lancashire Day starting at 11am and the Christmas lights switch on scheduled for 18:00.
Around this time of year in all our branches we see account holders and staff members who are either super ready for Christmas or putting off getting their bits and bobs for the festive period till the last minute.
Those who have saved all year with the PCCU account designed especially for Christmas usually start to withdraw their savings at the start of November and always leave the branches rather pleased that they have got a financial head start on the expensive period. To find out more about how the account works follow this link to the Christmas account page and take the pressure off Christmas 2017.
At PCCU we also recognise that people sometimes need to access affordable loans for a range of reason during the period. We see a large increase in the number of loan applications we receive as some account holders enjoy being able to spread the expense of buying Christmas presents or hosting friends and family throughout Christmas over a longer period of time, whilst some account holders take advantage of the Christmas break to get away on holiday! Each loan application is looked at individually by a member of staff who will assess the applicant’s financial circumstances and look to spread the cost of Christmas over a longer period, with repayments tailored to that person’s finances. To find out more about our loan facilities take a look at our Loans page.
If you find yourself in a situation this Christmas where you may have to borrow please contact PCCU to discuss how we could help you.
